Convenient Access from Reeds
US 64 is the whole story for families out at the crossroads: one highway, one turn, and you are at Carolina Pines Dentistry in about 13 minutes. Our office stands at 1 Weaver Dr in Lexington, and it is an easy choice for anyone wanting a dentist near Reeds without a long haul. We open at 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.
Starting from Reeds Elementary School at 791 S. NC Highway 150, take NC 150 a little over half a mile to US 64 and turn east. Follow US 64 for about three and a half miles; as it reaches Lexington it becomes West Center Street and runs straight through uptown. Stay on Center Street as it turns into East Center Street, and our corner comes up on the far side of uptown, 6.4 miles from the school.
The office is at the north end of Weaver Drive where it meets North Carolina Avenue, a few yards off East Center Street. Our Google Maps listing has the pin if you want to save it. Patients from neighboring Tyro, down NC 150, and from Erlanger on the city's north side take their own routes in.
Western Davidson County Families, One Familiar Office
Many maps still label the community Reeds Crossroads, after the junction of Old US 64 and NC 150. It sits at the head of Beaverdam Creek in western Davidson County, part of Tyro township, and it is not an incorporated town. Churchland, Arcadia and Yadkin College are among its neighbors.
Life here centers on a few shared places. Reeds Elementary serves kindergarten through fifth grade, the community's fire department stands on East Salisbury Drive at the crossroads, and Tyro Middle and West Davidson High stand just down NC 150 in neighboring Tyro. Farther west, Boone's Cave Park on the Yadkin River marks the spot where local legend says Daniel Boone once hid.
A community like that values keeping things simple. One dental office for parents, grandparents and kids means one set of records, one phone number and a team that recognizes you when you walk in. That is the kind of practice we work to be.
The drive itself helps. NC 150 and US 64 carry you to the edge of town, and Center Street takes you the rest of the way, with no interstate driving. Office hours run 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, and we are closed on Friday, so an early appointment can be finished before many workdays begin.
Our therapy dog is a favorite with younger visitors, and nitrous oxide helps patients of any age who feel uneasy in the chair. Small touches like those make regular visits easier to keep.
Healthy Gums and Steady Checkups in Reeds
Cavities get most of the attention, but gum disease is just as worth watching for adults. Gums that bleed when you brush, look puffy or have started to pull back from the teeth deserve a closer look. Caught early, gum problems are far easier to manage.
When gum tissue needs treatment, our soft tissue laser handles laser gum therapy and gum contouring. The soft tissue laser surgery page explains how that technology is used. Whether laser care suits your situation is decided at an exam.
For children, the focus shifts to prevention. Elementary-age children are at the age when sealants and fluoride do the most good, protecting new permanent molars before decay gets a foothold. A cleaning, exam and digital x-rays round out each checkup.
Adults who have put off a worn filling or a cracked tooth have options that respect their time. CEREC crowns are designed, made and placed in a single visit, and the Solea laser is used for many fillings. Fewer trips back and forth makes it easier to say yes to care you have been postponing.
Snoring is another thing families mention. Loud, regular snoring can point to sleep apnea, a condition that affects far more than a good night's rest. If someone in your house snores, bring it up at your next cleaning and we can talk about next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Carolina Pines Dentistry from Reeds, and how do I get there?
Plan on about 13 minutes for the 6.4-mile drive from Reeds Elementary. Take NC 150 to US 64 east, which becomes West Center Street in Lexington, and continue onto East Center Street to the office. That straight shot makes us a natural dentist near Reeds for after-school and early-morning visits.
What should I do if a permanent tooth gets knocked out?
Act quickly and call the office. Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root, rinse it gently if it is dirty, and try to set it back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep it in a cup of milk and bring it along. The team strives to fit dental emergencies into the schedule.
When should a Reeds family book a toddler's first dental visit?
By the first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth coming in. An early visit lets the dentist check for early decay and show parents how to clean small teeth, and it helps a young child get used to the chair. The child membership plan covers ages 0 to 13, with two cleanings, two exams and a fluoride treatment each year.
What financing options help with larger treatment plans?
The practice offers financing through Cherry, CareCredit and Sunbit. These let you spread the cost of bigger work, such as implants or crowns, over time instead of paying all at once. Terms depend on the lender and your application, so compare them before choosing. Patients without insurance can also look at the in-house membership plan, which takes 20% off all procedures.
Is the $29 emergency exam available to Reeds families new to the practice?
Yes, it is for new patients only. The $29 Emergency Exam & X-Ray covers an exam and x-rays so we can see what is causing the problem and outline next steps. Call as early in the day as you can, and the team will work to find you a time.
