A native of Ferguson, NC, a very small, rural town in the northwestern part of the state, Dr. Wingler spent a lot of time outdoors either recreationally hunting and fishing, or working on his family land. Learning a lot about craftsmanship, it was embedded in him to problem solve on the fly, work with his hands, and take pride in the work he had created.
After spending a great deal of time in the dental chair, he developed a great relationship with his family dentist, and came to admire his lifestyle and outlook on life. Combining his passion for health and fitness with problem solving and service to others, Dr. Wingler realized that dentistry would be the path for him.
Dr. Wingler received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the UNC School of Dentistry. He has gone on to refine his craft through continuing education in various areas particularly in dental implants where he completed the Implant Pathway Continuum in Tempe, Arizona by providing free care to Veterans.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Implantologists. He is also a member of the Spear Study Club.
Dr. Wingler is providing exceptional care to the Lexington community, and is passionate about treating each of his patients with the warm-hearted care that he received as a young boy.
In his spare time, Dr. Wingler is an avid outdoorsman, so you might find him hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, running, or anything to do with outdoors and fitness. He also enjoys cooking and grilling and spending time with his family.
Background and Education:
Dr. Ashton Fioravanti, a native West Texan, grew up in Midland, Texas before relocating to North Carolina in middle school. Dr. Ashton attended Rockingham County Middle and High school, where she participated in many extracurricular activities, most notably competitive horseback riding. Enduring six years of braces and five oral surgeries helped to stoke her passion for dentistry. As a junior in high school, she started volunteering at a local dental office, where she was quickly hired as an office trained dental assistant.
Enjoying the relationships made with patients and assisting in complicated procedures helped Dr. Ashton determine at a young age that dental school was in her future. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After graduating Summa cum laude from UNCG, Dr. Ashton pursued a degree in Dentistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Over the last several years, Dr. Ashton has developed and sustained a reputation for her relentless commitment to patient satisfaction and wellbeing. She is certified in oral conscious sedation and is compassionate about providing an inclusive and pleasant dental experience for all. Dr. Ashton is excited and grateful for the opportunity to provide exceptional and compassionate dental care to the Lexington community.
Affiliations:
Dr. Ashton is a member of the American Dental Association, as well as the North Carolina Dental Society. She also participates in a local Spear Study Club where she collaborates with her peers on complex cases.
Outside of Work:
Dr. Ashton is a huge animal lover and has volunteered with countless animal rescues throughout the region. Over the past fifteen years, she has fostered dozens of dogs and ensured that each was placed into a good home. In her spare time, Dr. Ashton can be found hiking local trails with her family and their two dogs, Shortbread and Opie. Dr. Ashton loves the Blue Ridge Mountains and visits the Blowing Rock area every fall. Abroad, Dr. Ashton is an avid traveler and enjoys learning about and interacting with different cultures worldwide.
